our Story

Mata Mansa Devi Gaushala is located near Luxmi Mandir at Mata Mansa Devi Temple in the heart of Panchkula, Haryana in India. The gaushala was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda on 02-October-2013. 6 acres of land for the Gaushala has been provided by the Govt. Of Haryana whereas eminient residents of Panchkula have contributed Rs 2.5 crores for the development of Gaushala.

The city of Panchkula and Chandigarh has been facing a major problem of stray cattle on the roads. The major aim of this project is to house all these stray cattle and provide them with shelter. The stray cattle are mostly orphaned, milk dry and sick due to age and lack of care. The gaushala caters to them by treating, feeding and providing shelter to the cows.

Six Cow-sheds are operational to cater to above 1200 cows. The Management is constructing  another shed to accommodate 200-250 cow vansh from the city. This is will help rid of the cow menace on the roads and serve the society.

Separate sheds for calfs, pregnant cows and bulls have been maintained.

The following are also planned and will be developed in the coming months:

1. Veterinary hospital will be commissioned with the permission of Veterinary Dept. Haryana.

2. Bio-Gas / Gobar Gas plant work in progress

3. Vermi-compost plant under consideration.
